My schoolmate and I spent two summers in Guernsey (64 &66) as students working in hotels and fell in love with the place. We also met the Rolling Stones in August 1964 and have their autographs to prove it!! This would NEVER have happened on the mainland. She lives with her family in England and I am in Canada and we still keep in touch and since we are both on the "leading edge" of the baby boom we treated ourselves to a long longdistance phonecall for our birthdays and of course we reminisced about dear Guernsey. By the way we worked as chambermaids at Vazon Bay hotel. The chef was Austrian and his name was Hans, as far as I know he settled in Guernsey. There was also a commis chef, Robbie Taylor.

What a lovely site, very well put together.

It's so very lovely to be able to look at pictures, to remind ourselves of the Beautiful Gem we left behind.

Love to all that know us....
