Thanks to those who have
put together this wonderful web sight. I love
Guernsey so much and am moved to tears by the
pictures of all my favourite places. I lived in
the island from 1950 to 1955. I was a small
child at the time and look back on this as the
dream time of my life.
We lived in Vazon and my
father was the minister of the Elim church. I
went to Castel school for 2 years before we
moved away. My sister and I used to play on
Albeque beach. There was a formation of rocks
which we called our house and we played for
hours with our dollies. We both learned to swim
in Vazon bay....Could go on for ever about my
love for this place! I visit for hols with my
husband ,who now loves Sarnia too...............

My dear Bev,
I worked and lived in Guernsey for four years and left
the island four months ago. I missed it so much that I
have been browsing for sites til I found yours. It
makes my heart melt with the magical photographs that
I wanted to book my flight back... but can't due to
circumstances. Definitely, the sights here make me
feel I'm there... and I'm back.
Thank you so much for re-living my memories of
Guernsey, that for sometime, I called home.

My parents took me away from Guernsey in
1956 and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Bev
your site just re-enforces my fond memories of the
Island. Although I have never been back it is constantly
in my thoughts so I will revisit your site often. If
anyone reading this remembers me drop me a line. I lived
at Perelle and went to St. Saviours School and one year
at Grammar School before being whisked away. Fantastic
Job Bev.

Our
family immigrated to New Zealand four months ago (June
2001) from Guernsey, it is good to read up on what is
happening back in Guernsey, a very good site.
It would be great to hear from some Guernsey people,
that have immigrated to New Zealand as well. please
