Thanks for the site. We were on Guernsey, three years
ago, and were captivated with the scenery, the
hospitality, and most of all the folks who became such
good friends.
Much is said about many islands as being tourist spots
(such as the South Seas, etc.), but they have a tough
time holding a candle to one of the best kept secrets in
the world.

A
simply beautiful website, full of interest. My maternal
grandmother, Mary Ann Tardif, was born in St. Peter Port
in 1886 but I have visited the island only once, as a
child in 1946. Its beauty left a lifelong impression on
me and my yearning to re-visit has been enhanced by your
site.

Great site, it made me homesick for Guernsey. All the
photos and artwork are beautiful. I was also delighted
to find our island anthem, Sarnia Cherie, so now I can
sing along whenever I feel nostalgic, and if there's a
tear in my eye, well, that's what memories are for! Hi
and God bless to everyone in Guernsey, especially past
pupils of the "old" Blanchelande.

My Maternal Grandmother and her
siblings came from Guernsey. The
Photo's were very nice to view.
I remember many times my
grandmother telling me about her
childhood on Guernsey.Thank you
for posting this on the

Please keep adding pictures to
the site.
Our children were young when
they left the island and we
really enjoy showing them the
scenery and helping them
remember things such as the
Battle of Flowers. For us it is
pure nostalgia. Thank you
