I
HAVE BEEN ON HOLIDAY TO GUERNSEY FOUR TIMES NOW AND TO
SUM IT UP, I WOULD SAY, "GUERNSEY MAKES ME A BETTER
PERSON!"

I
was born in Guernsey but left in 1958 when I got married
to a Swiss, Josef Egger - my sisters Susan Goldsmith and
Jillian Ferbrache still live there. It's true, you can
take the girl out of the island, but you cannot take the
island out of the girl. I was last there in 1998 and
thankfully it has only changed for the better - not like
most places in the world! If there are any Guernsey-born
people of my vintage (born 1938) near me, I would love
to hear from them.

My
grandfather was a Guernseyman (C P LeHuray)who wrote the
original book "Bailiwick of Guernsey". Although I have
never lived on the island, I have visited many times and
continue to have friends and relatives there. It will
always be a place I go back to, somewhere to find peace
and total relaxation.

The
new website is gorgeous!!! We could stay on all day just
remembering our stay there two years ago when our
daughter had her wedding reception. Its such a lovely
setting anywhere you go on the island, its hard to pick
a favorite setting. You've done it up quite smartly,
thanks so much.

Guernsey Scenes, etc. is most
certainly one of the finest websites I have ever
viewed.
The Photography and Artwork are magnificent!
Bravo Bev !!!!!
