A booking can be made via telephone or
email, and the booking will be held for 7 days until the deposit is received.
If the deposit is not received within 7 days and we have been unable to contact
you, the house will be re-let. A non-returnable deposit of 25% of the cost
of the rental is payable at time of booking. The balance of the cost will
be due one month prior to the start of the rental. The full amount is
payable if there is less than one month between time of booking and holiday
dates.
Monies can be paid online
via Paypal (carol.vivyan@guernsey.net),
by cheque sent through the post (payable to Carol Vivyan), or by electronic
transfer (details will be sent on request).
Once the deposit has been
received, an acknowledgement will be sent to confirm the booking.
Persons staying at the
house should not exceed the number of people stated on the booking form.
The house cannot be sublet to any other party without the written approval of
the owner.
Cancellation.
Having paid the deposit, if you find you have to cancel your booking, please
notify me as soon as possible via email, letter or fax.
The deposit is non-refundable. If you have to cancel once you have paid
the full cost, I will endeavour to re-let the house, in which case the balance
will be returned to you. In the event that the house cannot be re-let, 50%
will be returned to you, and 50% retained.
You should take out
insurance cover to reduce the impact of cancellations, and for third party
indemnity and accident cover, which is required in France.
You are not asked to make
a security deposit, but I ask you to notify me of any breakages or any damage
caused. Any donations towards breakages will be gratefully accepted.
If you use the 2 adult bicycles, you do so
at your own risk.
Helmets and other safety equipment are not provided. Padlocks and a bike
pump are available. Please use the bikes responsibly, and check them
before use: tyres, brakes, steering, folding mechanism etc. More

The holiday home rental
price does not include any personal insurance, travel or transportation.
Whilst La Carniche is
professionally cleaned after each letting (included in the cost of the rental),
you
should leave the house clean and tidy as there is limited time for cleaning
between guests. Guests should leave before 10am, and arrive after 4pm on
the agreed changeover day - normally Fridays.
Bed
linen and towels are
provided.
You will be given
information regarding obtaining the house keys and detailed directions to the
house shortly after receipt of the final payment.
Pets are not allowed.
Smoking is not allowed in
the house.
Electricity, water and gas
are included in the cost of your holiday, but please be mindful that the
electric heaters are very expensive to run.
Bookings will not be
accepted from anyone under the age of 18, nor from groups of people under the
age of 25.
Your vehicles, their
accessories and contents are left entirely at your own risk as are all personal
belongings left in the property.
We cannot accept
responsibility for personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects howsoever
arising during the booking period.
You must notify us of any
shortcomings with your accommodation immediately so that action can be taken.
The owners or their agents may enter the premises at a reasonable hour for
inspection purposes, and to carry out any essential repair or maintenance work.
The owner reserves the right to request a guest or guests to leave if there is
reason to believe there has been disturbing or offensive behaviour.
In completing the booking
form, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions
without reservation or exception.
