Teepee Toddlers

About us

Teepee Toddlers is a new venture being undertaken by Mrs Nikkie Kerr and Mrs Jenny Hooper and is affiliated to Wigwam Support Group founded in 1999 by Jenny and Nikkie.  Wigwam offers friendship, support and social events to children with special needs in their families.

Jenny has worked with pre-school children and has gained NVQ qualifications in child care.

Nikkie has many years experience working voluntarily with Special Needs children.

Aims

The aim of Teepee Toddlers is to provide families a place in which they can attend with their

pre-school children to enjoy fun activities within a caring and safe environment.

A place where Parents can offer one another advice and support and where their children can learn social skills whilst exploring the world around them using toys, equipment, craft and activities.

Our aim is to include children with a wide range of needs into our all inclusive group where we understand the importance for parents of having a place where they can come to where their child will be understood and accepted.

A warm welcome will await you and your child/children.

Teepee Parent and Toddler Group is doing well, however, due to work commitments we have lost a number of our volunteers.  We would love to hear from you if you could spare some time on a Tuesday morning to help out (Term time only).  We would welcome any help even if you can only commit to once a month.  You may even have family or friends that may like to get involved.  The group runs from 9.30am until 11.30am but we also require help setting up beforehand and tidying away after.  Thank you
