New Hedelburg was built on the site of the three summer palaces (in beige) after
the destruction of Hedelburg during "The Blasting". New Hedelburg is about a mile wide
in the E-W direction and 3/4 of a mile in the N/S direction.
It is the provincial capital of Rohaim, the main centre of organisation of defense
against the Sondelese and a summer resort for people who live in the capital: Gent .
Here the Militia are trained and the famous Chevalier Knights have their headquarters.
The civic deity for New Hedelburg is Herm of the Bell and Flame and it is a major
religous centre.
New Hedelburg lies at the highest deep water navigable point of the River Tonner
and is a trade centre. Its customs post controls the lucrative flow of goods from the
Sondelese in the west to the rest of the Heptarchy and from the dwarven city in the
south up the military road to the Northern Wastes. A good place to live for honest and
dishonest folk. Note that the customs post is a quarter of a mile south of New Hedelburg on the river.
