M.V.Veronica II. Borkum Riff.The Station Started on the 21 st. April 1960 transmitting for 6 years from the converted 485-ton German lightship, Borkum Riff. It was located three and a half miles off the Dutch coast between Scheveningen and the Hague with an audience in the Netherlands and Belgium. It also had a large British audience. Technical Details: 10Kw transmitter, T-type antenna, double thread, length 2 x 24 ft, and 66 ft high. The Studio's of Radio Veronica were located in Hilversum and all programmes recorded on tape and sent to the ship by tender.
