Born and raised in Kent, Bob came to live in Guernsey in September 1999 as Skills Development Manager for Information Technology at Guernsey College of Further Education. In 2003 he moved to Sark.

Bob's work included the provision if IT training for vocational students who need IT skills to enable them to complete their respective courses to a high standard.

Bob has a Masters Degree in Education and is a Fellow of the Institute of IT Training (FIITT). But since moving to Sark Bob has diversified to put his energies into establishing Sark Souvenirs gift shop, providing business admin and reprographics through Sark Services and organising events through Sark Weddings.

Bob will also stand for election in the first election for the new, fully elected Chief Pleas to Keep Sark Special
