Born and raised in Kent, Bob came to live in Guernsey in September 1999 as Skills Development Manager for Information Technology at Guernsey College of Further Education. In 2003 he moved to Sark, founding Sark Island Learning. Bob's work included the provision if IT training for vocational students who need IT skills to enable them to complete their respective courses to a high standard. Additionally, Bob is preparing recreational learning programmes for themed short breaks which can be taken at a comfortable Sark country hotel. Details will be available soon Bob was commissioned to write Information Technology Vocational A Level unit 20 - IT Solutions for People with Individual Needs - and has created a learning website to support students taking this unit. Bob is also one of just four assessors for the British Computer Association for the Blind, Trainer Certification Scheme. This is an initiative designed to raise the standards of IT training for people with a visual impairment. Bob has a Masters Degree in Education and is a Fellow of the Institute of IT Training (FIITT). But since moving to Sark Bob has diversified to put his energies into some very special projects...
