The Thoumine family of Guernsey

There are two distinct families with the name THOUMINE/TOUMMINE (& other variations) in Guernsey.
The first family seems to appear in the mid 1500s (which might indicate they were Huguenots fleeing from the oppressions in near-by France).

I feel it is to this family that Raulin Thoumine descends from. RAULIN is the Thoumine to whom the main family goes back to.

The second family does not appear until the 19th century and is known to have originated in the Cherbourg area of Normandy, France.

If anybody, has any further information on either of these family, I would gladly incorporate it into my data-base. Or conversely, if you have an                                               interest in a interest in a particular individual, it is possible that I may have further details not shown here.

This is an updated version of the web page I did in 2000 & promptly forgot my password & so cannot edit it!

I have hopefully cited everybody who has given me information over the years but please contact me if you wish your details removed.
