Another
meeting with a few thrills and spills last night! Some great racing and
Matt has finally realised that even he's too old to spin mid-air whilst
flying and expect to land on his feet. Hope your back sorts itself out
for next meeting.
All the best to Andy as well after his Op - we all missed the Gilson
family last night and hope to see you back in the pits as soon as
possible.

The
new season is upon us already and I hear that there was some great
racing. I have been told that Louis Romerill sprained his wrist after
one of his crashes, so all the best for a speedy recovery from everyone
at the club Louis!
I
guess gaffe of the week goes to me for telling my wife that it was on
Monday night, even though I was responsible for putting all the dates
on the website as Tuesday's! Oops, in the doghouse again! Thanks to
everyone for helping Debs and Nathan out when they did arrive though.

The 2010 events have been updated. Those
are the dates that are ok at the moment but matt did say that if he
gets a corporate event and needs to use a tuesday night for any reason,
he will inform me with at least two weekes notice so we would have to
reschedule. But they should be all good. I did organise two
dates in september; 7th and 21st but I will look into them as I recall
last year we ran out of light.

Just to update any members who could not make the AGM, apart from the
change in presidancy (and I'm sure Pip will do a fantastic job),
nothing else has changed! The treasurer and secretary stay as Mandy
Gillson and Di Le Gallez, and the commitee members stay as Roy De La
Mare, Jeff Gill, Mark Rive and Matt Le Gallez (junior member). With
Mark Ferbrache continuing as race director.
Regarding Steve not being president any more, he
will still have an involvement in the club. On race days he will still be around
to aid and assist, he just wants to focus his attention on other things
this year and as the club is healthy and doing well, he thought it was
a good time to step down and let someone else take over.
I have yet to sort out dates with
Matt Ford at the kart track, but will let you all know as soon as I have done
so.

I have cancelled the last two race meetings on Wednesday evenings as we shall run out of daylight !!
New dates and times will be; Sunday 20th September 3-5 pm and our Finals will be on Sunday 4th October 10-12. Sorry to muck
everybody about, but these two dates are our only alternative.

Please note that the last two race meetings have changed from a
Monday to a Wednesday. This now means that the meeting previously
scheduled for Monday 14th September will be held on
Wednesday 16th September and the final race meeting scheduled for Monday 21st September has now changed to
Wednesday 23rd September.

A soggy finale !
The weather beat us today, but we all enjoyed the presentation in the
Pavillion. Thanks to all for turning up, it was great to see so many of
you considering the weather conditions and well done to the
championship winners.
It's been a great first season for the club, and more members in the pipeline so that side of things is going well.
You will all be notified as to when the A.G.M. will be, either late January or early February.
That's it for now, will keep updating here and www.vuedesisles.com in the meantime, with regards to next seasons events etc.

Finals this Sunday 23rd November. Please attend, even if it's raining,
as we will be having the presentation of awards. There are still two
classes to be decided so it's down to the wire. Also Jeffers will be
there with food , so if it does rain, we will still have a party in the
Grandstand.

We had a commitee meeting last week. A new rule has been brought in.
No riding of bikes in the pit area. Push your bikes to the entrance to
the track. On completion of race, stop at the pit entrance/exit, and
push your bikes back to your pit area, The reason for this is safety,
your safety, and the general public.

The club is getting bigger all the time, the racing is excellent with
some brilliant battles going on, and I don't mean just for the winning
positions but further down the field we have some fantastic racing from
you guys. With Jade back in the cub class, it's wake up time boys. We
could do with a few more senior racers, as tonight we had only three.
Again it's great to see the cub class with nine competitors, juniors
looking good too. I also am working on a cunning plan for the Marshalls
department, will discuss with the committee members and see if we
should go with it.

Please note race date confirmations / changes. The 4th August is
now confirmed, however the 18th August has been moved to a possible 1st
September - this is yet to be confirmed.

After three championship race meetings, things are looking good.
Entries are on the up, which is good for the club. with more newcomers
on the horizon. The racing itself is excellent, good close racing, well
mannered & fun, as it should be.
On
the down side we will always have problems getting marshalls. It is a
very important part of racing. Have any of you any ideas on how we can
solve this? Please let me know.

Firstly may I give my apologies to everyone that this website is a
long way off a professional looking site as I am not a web designer,
however for ease of looking up the latest news, events, results,
championship standings and links to pictures it's the best first effort
and can only get better! All recommendations / ideas to improve the
site will be welcomed and duly considered. If there are any errors or
ommissions in the data that gets placed on the site, then I will
