Our aims

To ensure that individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the service available to them or through an inability to express their needs both effectively and equally.

To exercise a responsible influence in the development of social policies, both nationally and locally.


Our Principles

        FREE TO ALL

        CONFIDENTIAL - nothing learned from clients at the Bureau including the fact of their visit will be passed on to anyone outside the service without their express permission.

        INDEPENDENT - therefore able to give impartial advice to all clients and to take up any issue on behalf of individuals or groups.

        IMPARTIAL - advice and help will be given to without any preconceived attitudes on the part of the bureau regardless of race, gender, disability or sexuality.


Our trained and experienced advisors provide a broad service from our offices at the Bridge, St Sampsons. There is handy parking and easy access. We are always aiming to develop our service to reach those clients who need us most.
