GOREY AND ADONIS CHALETS

These two are the latest new additions. Completed, recently, to a very high standard

CREUX

This is the largest of the chalets. It has just been renovated,(Dec.2003), which includes a

new kitchen which then leads into a large lounge/diner. Then through the lounge door

into the hallway which has three bedrooms and bathroom off of it. The first bedroom has

bunk beds with hanging and draw space for clothes. The second bedroom has a double

bed with hanging and draw space for clothes, it also has sink h.c. with shaver point. There

is a door which leads to the side of the chalet which has a lovely green area with sun

lounges. The third bedroom has three single beds which can be put together to make a

double bed. It also has a sink with a shaver point and the same clothes space as the other

bedrooms. The bathroom has a shower unit , W.C., sink and a very large mirror

LA PETETI FRIPONNERIE

A larger chalet type bungalow built for all the year round living. Constructed of cedar

wood with a cedar shingle roof. The main living area is laid out on an open plan, thus

reducing house work to a minimum. Sleeping facilities are provided for six persons. The

accommodation is approached through double doors from a wide veranda 30' x 10' which

extends along the south front, and provides excellent additional living space in fine

weather. A large living-dining lounge, 28' x 14', can quickly be converted to an additional

bedroom, the daytime studio couch forming a double bed, adeqate cupboards etc. being

also provided for clothes and bedding. Leading off this appartment is a small bedroom

containg two built in bunks and a large cupboard. The gallery kitchen is equipped with

sink o.k., cooker, store cupboard, microwave oven and leads to a backdoor lobby or the

adjacent bedroom so that persons sleeping in the lounge can use it without disturbing the

occupants of the bedroom which is also entered from the lounge and is completely

private, measuring 14.6' x 11.6', eqipped with two hanging cupboards and double bed

THE BELL- AIR BOTTLE SHOP

The off-licence has over 70 wines from all around the world, we also

make our own Whisky, Gin and Vodka and if you wish you can bottle

your own with a photo to have as a keepsake after you have drunk

the evidence, (this can only be done at our quiet times). We have

our own sweat and polo shirts, half zip fleezes, home made fudge

by one of our staff, Caragh chocolates, which are also made on the island

and many other things to whet your appetite.

Sark is the smallest independent feudal state in Europe, it is said to be a step back in time.
Nearly all visitors come to Sark not only for it's unrivalled individualty but also for the peace
and tranquility and to appreciate the abundance of wild flowers and seabirds as well as the superb scenery. There are no cars (only tractors for essential uses). Sark has two banks,
Natwest and HSBC, a post office, three general stores and other shops selling a large variety
of goods, many of which are made locally. Our official currencey is the Guernsey pound,
but Jersey and British currency is accepted. We also accept credit cards and the Euro. Boat
trips round the island are a must and are available by arrangement, there are also sailings
to the nearby island of Herm in the high season. Sea angling by boat with all the equipment provided can be arranged, or why not hire your equipment and go on your own. All the information you require is provided,from which beach, to what fish you are likely to catch.
You can also explore Sark on horseback, with the peace and quiet of no traffic to disturb you.
It is worth bringing suitable shoes for exploring the cliff walks and caves. There are no street lights, so a torch is useful. A view of the stars at night is never to be forgotten. Bring something warm and waterproof in case of the odd rainy day.

The Bel-Air has four self-catering chalets available for letting, particulars to be found
on the chalets page. All chalets are designed to ensure the minimum of house work.

The Bel-Air Inn is situated at the top of the Harbour Hill in the centre of the island.
Shops from which all essential household supplies can be bought are within three
minutes walk. Provided a list is received seven days beforehand, a first grocery and
milk order can be made available at the chalet on the day of arrival. The Bel-Air shop
and comfortable lounge bar is close at hand and meals are available at the Bel-Air
restaurant. All parts of the island are easily accessible on foot, but horse-drawn
carriages and bicycles can be hired in the village. Transport of luggage from the
boats to chalets should be arranged with us in advance, with the time of the arrival
and departure times It cannot be truthfully claimed that the cheapest is the best, but
those who have once seen the spring flowers on Sark, and the clement weather,
which is as certain as weather can be at that time, emphatically agree that from
mid-April to mid-June is, without question, the perfect holiday season in this peaceful,
perfumed island and accommodation at that time is so very much cheapier and easier.
